72-years-old takes the lead in NP preliminaries Breeders Derby
04/10/2021 – The Non Pro preliminaries of the NRHA Germany Breeders Derby scheduled in Rieden-Kreuth (GER) have been concluded yesterday featuring 135 entries in total. A big surprise came from 72-year-old Olga Hofmann (GER). Posting a 217,5 the young lady took the lead in both L4 and L3 and L2. Posting a 213,5 Siebe van Bekhoven (BEL) and the 6-year-old gelding WS Check My Pedigree [Wimpys Smoking Gun] took the lead in L1. In L2 Van Bekhoven placed 2nd, in L3 3rd and in L4 4th. The NRHA Germany Breeders Derby Youth was run class in class with the Non Pro preliminaries and was decided in a tie between Celina Bachleitner (AUT) and the 12-year-old gelding Paintball Gun [Gunner] and Kimberly Wölk (GER) with the 9-year-old gelding Big Gangster Cash [Big Chex To Cash], both posting a 213,0.
Several Dutch combinations managed to advance to the Non Pro finals. Posting a 210,5 Sharon de Groot and the 5-year-old stallion Tinsel Whizington [Tinsel Jac] qualified for the L4 finals; posting a 212,5 Elena Lagendijk and the 7-year-old gelding Customized Gun [Pale Face Dunnit] qualified for the L3-, L2- and L1 finals; and posting a 209,5 Catharina Smetsers and the 7-year-old mare Wimpy Special Gun [One Gun] qualified for the L3 and L1 finals.
The Non Pro finals are scheduled for Friday October 8.
