25/06/2023 – Since his debut in the show pen in 2020, the now 6-year-old stallion Down Right Amazing [Gunner] owned by DAG Ventures LLC has been shown only 25 times, invariably with Casey Deary in the saddle. Deary piloted the Down Right Amazing to a 3rd place in the 2020 NRHA L4 Open Futurity, to the NRHA L4 Open Derby Reserve Champion 2021 title, the NRBC L4 Open Champion 2022 title, the Run For A Million Champion 2022 title, the American Performance Horseman Champion 2023 title and the NRBC L4 Open Champion 2023 title. Since yesterday the pair may add the NRHA L4 Open Derby Champion title 2023 to the records. With an amazing strong performance, from the very beginning until the end, Deary posted a 231,5 in the $ 205.000 added L4 Open Derby final, taking over the lead from Jason Vanlandingham who had piloted the 6-year-old stallion Gunnabebigtime [Gunnatrashya] owned by Tami Nelson with a likewise amazing performance to a 230,5.
Posting a 224, the $ 124.000 added L3 Champion title was for the 6-year-old gelding Dream On Whiz [Magnum Chic Dream] owned by Joetta Bell and ridden by Luca Fappani. Both the 4-year-old stallion Thee Assassin [Shiners Voodoo Dr] owned by Show Stoppin Stables and ridden by Dany Tremblay and the 4-year-old stallion Ticketothegunshow [Colonels Shining Gun] owned by Lance Griffin and ridden by Francesco Martinotti posted a 222,0. In the $ 45.000 added L2 Fappani tied for 1st place with Kyle Shaw who piloted the 5-year old stallion HFWhizedbymobster [HF Mobster] owned by Rita Scharman to a 224,0 as well.
Marking a 218,5 the $ 25.000 added L1 Champion title was granted to the 6-year-old gelding Snip Of A Dream [Magnum Chic Dream] owned by Lorna Malmberg and ridden by Shayla Malmberg. Marking a 217,0 the 7-year-old mare Lylith [A Sparkling Vintage] owned by Slide Or Die LLC and ridden by Abby Kampmann took reserve honors.
