Euro Derby 2020 approaching

30/05/2021 – Within a month, scheduled for June 28 up to and including July 3, the NRHA European Derby 2020 kicks off in Wiener Neustadt (AUT). The additional purse in the Open division amounts € 106.200; in the Non Pro division € 45.510. Eligible to enter are 6-, 7-, 8- and 9-year-old horses. The entry deadline is set at June 10.
The last Euro Derby was scheduled in 2019. Due to COVID-19 the Euro Derby 2020 has been postponed to the current year. In 2019 Ann Fonck and Gunners Specialolena [Gunners Special Nite] owned by Diego dalla Gassa claimed the L4 Derby Champion title. It was Fonck’s 3rd L4 Derby Champion title in a row. The L4 Non Pro division resulted in an tie between Italian Edoardo Bernardelli with Whiz Wild West [Spark N Whiz] and Austrian Wolfgang Hammer with Mr Ricochet [Ricochet Rooster].
The NRHA European Derby 2021 for 5-, 6-, 7- and 8-year-old horses will be scheduled later this year.
