First medals at EC Quarter Horses

06/08/2023 – The European Championship for American Quarter Horses kicked off last Friday at the Ostbayernhalle in Rieden-Kreuth (GER). Halter classes are always scheduled at the beginning of the show, there are no preliminaries, and the first medals for the Netherlands are a fact. Belgian Barbara Ceusters presented the 8-year-old gelding Dew Not Touch [A Touch Of Sudden], aka Quinn, owned by Dutch Marjolijn Gray in the category Performance Halter Geldings Open. The pair did not only place 4 times 1st and was crowned European Champion; Quinn was also crowned 4 times Grand Champion.



In the category Performance Halter Geldings Amateur Marjolijn presented her horse herself. The pair was placed 4 times first as well, crowned European Champion and again Quinn was crowned 4 times Grand Champion.
And this was the beginning of the EC 2023. Several Dutch and Belgian combinations will enter the preliminaries next week. The finals are scheduled from Thursday August 10 onwards.
