Ready for the Run For A Million

14/08/2021 – “Competing against all the ‘big guys’ is kind of scaring, it’s XCStra pressure haha.”
These are the words of one of the entries to the Run For A Million, scheduled from August 18 up to and including August 21 in de South Point Arena and Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ‘big guys’ are Dany Tremblay, Andrea Fappani, Jason Vanlandingham, Cade McCutcheon, Matt Mills, Shawn Flarida, Kole Price, Casey Deary, Nathan Piper, Martin Müehlstätter, Arno Honstetter, Tom McCutcheon, Brian Bell en Craig Schmersal. German Gina Maria Schumacher will be facing them in the competition as the only ‘big girl’ and Non Pro rider. Schumacher will enter the 5-year-old stallion Gunnastepya [Gunnatrashya]. Earlier this year Schumacher and Gunnastepya marked a 224,0 at the Cactus Reining Classic and a 220,0 at the NRBC de score 220,0.
Schumacher: “Of course it will be exciting, but we will try our best. My horse is a fantastic athlete and I have Duane (Latimer), Iain (Bethke) and my mum as support and I am really thankful for that. If it goes well, it will be great. If it doesn’t that’s ok too. I’m only a Non Pro and Non Pro’s are allowed to make mistakes 😜 “
Apart from the Run For A Million competition, a $ 100,000 Shoot Out, $ 50,000 Freestyle Invitation Reining and 1 $ 50,000 Non Pro- and Rookie Championship are scheduled. The Run For A Million competition is scheduled for Saturday August 21 ,
