The last Americana 2021 Champions
14/09/2021 – Americana 2021 scheduled in Augsburg (GER) has been concluded successfully last Sunday and the last Champions have been crowned, among them Belgian Jan Boogaerts and his 7-year-old stallion Gold Rush WR Cowboy [Cowboy WR San Jo]. With the composite score 274,5 the combination claimed the ERCHA Non Pro Bridle Champion title in a field of 15 entries. German Leni Bartmann and the 13-year-old gelding Smart Little Theo [Smart Flying Colors] marked a composite score 274,5 as well, but according to the NRCHA rules the highest fence work score is the tie breaker, in this case in favor of Boogaerts. Earlier last week Boogaerts also placed 4th in the ERCHA Open Bridle Spectacular individual competition.
The NRCHA rules differ from the NRHA- or of NCHA rules. De NRCHA Bridle class is a class for 7-year-old or older horses that have to been shown straight up in the Bridle bit on 1 hand. In a Bridle Spectacular each combination performs a pattern consisting of herd work (similar to cutting), followed by reined work (similar to reining) and at last fence work (similar to working cow horse). In a regular Bridle class only reined- and fence work are being asked. Boogaerts: “I am very satisfied with my horse. All of the ranch work is being done at home. I feel happy that I did not disturb him much in his movements and never quit on him. For me Americana was an excellent show.”
In the final of the € 10.000 added Non Pro Reining scheduled for Sunday as well, Belgian Dries Verschueren and the 13-year-old stallion Smart N Sparkin [Smart Chic Olena] did well too. Posting a 213,0 the combination tied for 3rd place. Swiss Adrienne Speidel and the 9-year-old mare ARC Walla Smart [Walla Walla Whiz] claimed the title marking a 217,0. With the 9-year-old gelding Elat Soldier Whiz [Common Foot Soldier] Speidel also claimed reserve honors marking a 215,5.
Americana 2022 is scheduled for August 16 up to and including August 23 2022, again in Augsburg.
